I don’t know about you, but I sure have been enjoying the sunshine in this beautiful season of Spring! We have had some record breaking warm days. I think that is what inspired my Grandma to put this color combination together.
Kit, as you can see looks just darling in this handmade, one of a kind dress. The beads around her neck were made specifically for this outfit. Flip Flops were the choice of shoes. I had some other yellow shoes picked out, but these just made the outfit scream “Summer”!!!!!
Below you will find all the information about the dress pattern, and material. My Grandma made 2, and will put it in her Etsy shop once she has enough dresses in inventory to sell. I am sure you can tell that each dress takes a long time to make!
A-Line style was introduce in the 50’s so I’m going to say this pattern is the 1950+
Pattern: Pink Ladybug Fashions from Pixiefaire.comFabric: Tutti Fruitti Plisse from Joann’s Blue with Yellow flowers accented with white and solid yellow. Buttons: LaMode Shoes: AFW Sequin Flip-Flops in Yellow Necklace: Yellow & Blue Beads on Strech Cord
OMGosh Kit you look so adorable. Yellow is surely your color. This is Grandma approved! I know all about that embarrassed look when you take a tumble.
